Spooky Scary Skeletons

Happy October, everyone! We hope you enjoy all the Halloween candy you can get! This month we offer both tricks and treats for characters.

First, though, we would like player input on a matter. We want to propose raising the current player cap from 50 to 55. It's a very small raise but it would be the most we as a mod team can handle while still giving some extra room for players to come and go. We feel this is a good compromise between raising the cap by a larger amount and staying where we're at while allowing room for growth. This would be the only proposed raise with the current set-up of the mod team. As always we would bring any further changes to the players first.

We will gauge the response and make our decision in time for the TDM on the 15th.

October 15th: Test Dive Meme

Nightmare on Base Street

From October 1st to October 12th, the Sea Dragon will command the Dreamscape. With the sickness progressing, it turns to lashing out against the crew with new and terrifying nightmares. These nightmares have been drawn from the crew themselves by honing in the fears that they almost all have. The selected fears are:

• Helplessness; Can include metaphorical or literal helplessness
• Isolation; Can include betrayal and abandonment and projected feelings of such on other characters
• Loss of Self; Can include body horror, loss of control and loss of identity

In addition to these broader fears waiting to be put to creative use, several specific dreams will plague all crew members. These were again selected from the results of our innocent question and taken from specific characters. They are:

• Characters slowly morphing into something dragon-like, yet not; there are too many tentacles and mouths and eyes and strange parts to be a dragon. It's something stranger. Something that can't be understood by anyone.
• A pack of tiny, yipping dogs chasing you everywhere.
• A loved one or multiple loved ones, twisted and mangled with their body parts not quite where they should be, asking why the character did this to them and haunting them.
• An unsolvable metal ring puzzle with high stakes. The stakes of solving the puzzle are up to you and can be anything you want.
• A grotesque beast, morphing between something like a wolf, a spider and a human, made of oozing darkness, appearing and disappearing out of nowhere. Its attacks come fast, aiming for pain, but it always vanishes before it can be fought.

Scary, huh? But don't worry. Sorey and Mikleo will be dream-battling the Sea Dragon to make dreaming a safe place again. At what cost though will their victory come? Whatever the cost, they'll secure sleep for crew members by the 12th. Characters are encouraged to try missions to work out how to control or fight back the nightmares in the meantime! These methods will definitely be welcome in helping the crew get some rest and ensuring future nightmares are tameable.

Updates!

There sure are a lot of updates this month! Holy shit. Some of the updates mentioned here, along with a few others, have been added to the Biome and Base posts. As mods we don't manage the player-run Subnautica discovery document but we encourage everyone to use the document for details that aren't included on the Biome and Base posts.

BIOMES
An island that has been dubbed Amity Island has been discovered! It is pretty far away from the base, and is home to an extremely large spaceship crash. The body of ISHMAEL's programmer, Mimi Yun, had been found there. Another island, which is also fairly far away, has also been located. It is populated by animals like Land Sharks, Candy Beaks, and Fruit Flyers. Both islands are generally small in size and aren't diverse enough to be considered their own biome.

URSULA
Great news, everyone! URSULA has chosen a robotic body out of all the ones that were suggested. It has not been constructed yet but she will very likely excitedly tell people about it.

BASE
Construction on the base has been going well! The crew has terraformed an island that is now situated over the base. The island has fresh water lakes, but otherwise is still fairly barren. Redesigning the base itself is still an ongoing project. If anyone has ideas for new rooms to be added, please make sure to speak to Annabeth so it can be added to her floor plans of the base! The Magister's tank is also being expanded so he can travel throughout the whole base, although this project is still only in the beginning stages.

A baby Land Shark, named Rhodey, now calls the base his home. Also, there is now a woman's hand in a jar in the library. You know, for the kids.

DREAMSCAPE
The crew has experimented with the new functions of the Dreamscape! Using the Song, some of the dark spots have been healed. There has also been a spot deep within the Shroom Caves that shows a manmade structure. This structure still needs to be investigated in the waking world.

FOOD, FARMING AND HEALTH
The base now has more canned goods that should last them several months! It consists of food items such as beans, spaghetti, corn, tiny sausages, tea, and condiments. There is also a year supply of Chef Boyardee. There is also a supply of alcohol called Snake Skin, which is 60% alcohol by volume.

The farm now has two more robotic helpers: Rainbro Dash, who asks as a second guard, and Robot Santa, who weeds the farm.

WEAPONS, TECH AND TRANSPORTATION
The base is now guarded by an unspecified amount of weaponized drowns! There are a lot of them, and they are located both inside and outside the base, as well as at the island. The submarines also now have a net attachment that will hopefully make collecting items easier. Headphones have been constructed that play the Song, making it easier to control the Dreamscape.

THE VOID AND HORRORTERRORS
The evil horrorterror has been identified as the Dragon and the friendlier one is known as the Emperor. While the Dragon lives in the Void, the Emperor is trapped inside a cave and has no way out. All she needs is some sort of opening so she can break free and help the planet. More details can be found here.

After a dive into the Void, the Dragon has given the crew an egg. What is inside the egg is still unknown. Hopefully it's not another evil horrorterror.

RABITES
The rabites have been removed via a number of different methods that include relocation, neutering, and extermination. A couple may still be seen around the base, but their numbers shouldn't increase as wildly as they did as long as the crew continues to keep an eye out for them. Nice job!

Monthly Missions!

MAIN MISSION: ISLE OF THE GODS

• URSULA SAYS:"Now that the base has been reconstructed and the island is mostly done, we can finish it off. So please follow Annabeth and Korra's instructions for getting the rest of the island set up, building the towers and other defenses and smoothing out any remaining areas with the terraforming guns. Of course, you're free to have fun while you do! Just make sure this gets done please. ...Did I do all right, Reyna?"
• REQUIREMENTS: Just what it sounds like! The island needs the towers built and the farm taken care of while if there are any further additions wanted, you know what to do!
• RESULTS: We get to have a nice, finished island. A real island just for the crew, giving more land for everyone to stretch their legs.

SIDE MISSION: HALLOWEENTOWN

• URSULA SAYS: "I'm sure everyone saw what Dave proposed, yes? A Halloween party! Just the idea is so exciting that I have to support it. Please make the base as festive as you can! And what about trick-or-treating? And costumes! Bobbing for apples? I'll find spooky music to play."
• REQUIREMENTS: Really have fun and go wild. Spray spiderwebs everywhere! Carve the billions of pumpkins we have! Dress up all month and watch horror movies. Even have a Devil's Night if you want and TP someone's room! URSULA feels all additions to Halloween fun are good additions.
• RESULTS: A spoopy base for Halloween fun!

A quick question… can the nightmares be intense enough for the characters that it can, say, cause Eve to finally fall quiet or unresponsive to her sister's attempts to rouse her awake from them? They share the same body but have different consciousnesses and, thus, reactions to thing.

Like Eve gets so terrified by her dreams that she thinks its real and it's difficult to get her to wake up or she hides somewhere in the dreamscape with the nightmares because Good Job Eve? If not then it's cool! Just wanted to know because it occurred to me when writing up the top-level comment for the two here.

korosensei will be affected by the dreams like everyone else, but he will be very tightly bottling up any negative emotions or fear he feels! he's good at this. but if your character is very sensitive, empathetic, or is nagisa, they might notice he seems a little anxious.

he will also probably try to find a way to keep that dangerous alcohol out of the hands of the considerable number of minors on the ship. ANYONE WANT TO HELP... someone has to be responsible here.

for halloween, korosensei will be dressing up, obviously. he will also help with making dessert foods, such as cookies! additionally, he'll want to design some decorations, but seeing as his artistic skills are severely lacking, someone should probably stop him. Also, he'll tell scary stories.

Furthermore, he can help build on the island very easily! Since it's above water, he can use his mach speed freely to make setting up those towers go by in a flash if people can bring all the building materials up for him.

i'm going to try to really get back in the swing of things this month SO YES. sorry for being absent for the past while! sensei is here now. let's plot.

reyna will be affected by the dream shit since. u know. although she is canonly very good at like... controlling her own dreams while she dreams so like... that is a thing. i guess. anyway!!! she is going to spend a lot of her time training rhodey the baby land shark who is her baby. she's also head of security on base, that is her official job. reyna wants to make an actual emergency plan for the base so that, in case something happens (like the base getting attacked) everyone will know what to do instead of just running around stabbing at things blindly. she'll wants to have like, places designated for people to meet up at in case of emergency, safe rooms for noncombatants, things like that?? she also wants to make sure that everyone on base can at least SORT OF defend themselves? even if it's just so they can defend themselves long enough until someone can go help them. she knows there are various people offering to teach people to fight so she'll probably try to figure out who all these people are, find out what their expertise are in their fields, then try to group people together based on what they will probably be more comfortable with since like... not everyone can just start sword fighting or fist fighting and be good at it so it's best to find something closer to their skill set. also halloween party stuff for her i need to think of a nice costume. this is a lot of tldr babbling text i'm sorry

hajime will be... also affected by the nightmares.... even though it'll be really hard to tell since lol hajime. she's gonna continue to make clothes and stuff for people, like always. also now that she has a sewing machine and isn't doing everything by hand, she'll move onto more complicated stuff as well as doing things like making bedsheets and things!!! fun!! i want her to be little red riding hood for halloween. she's also going to try making marshmallows because she wants to do a big group camping trip for the base. they can get tents and go outside and ROAST MARSHMALLOWS AROUND A CAMPFIRE as soon as she manages to make it. it'll be fun, probably. i don't have any other ideas.

Kanaya Maryams October To Do List

Kanaya is going to be a busy troll this month, but is going to be able to make time for others easily. She will be stressed by the dreams of course, but will be hovering around those she cares about a lot.

-Kanaya is going to be offering to make costumes for everyone who wants one.

-She'll be decorating around the base of course, to get into the festive spirit and all. You might even find her chainsaw carving a pumpkin or two.

-Kanaya will still be exterminating the rabites. There is a large amount of them in the morgue now that is likely to grow.

-She will help set up the party of course.

-Fuss over all the people she's been moming so far. You know who you are.

-Especially Karkat. She got lonely and worried enough to name a Naoko Catsume cat after you.

-Still need to do Floater Island Trip with Komaeda

-Spend time with the bae

-Arrange a 'No Sleeping Party' and try to stay up as long as possible via coffee and company. The nightmares are painful.

- the 'being chased by a pack of tiny yapping dogs' nightmare is Mikleo's. he has something pretty similar to the weird dragon transformation one because it is quite possible he is developing a mild complex. would anyone want to play either of those out as shenanigans

- I'M OUTTIE FROM OCTOBER 12-25. Mikleo's going to be in a coma through that period along with Sorey because fighting dragons is rough?? idk that's not really plotting so much as a note that they will not have vanished from the base outright. and possibly also an invitation to draw on their faces.

also, on my end, i figured i'd incorporate dezel into rose's nightmares somehow, because i gotta stop forgetting he exists. sorey and mikleo would be the only other people she'd be comfortable enough to talk about dezel with-- whether she brings it up on her own or her change in mood is noticeable is up to you? the latter seems more likely to me!

PLOTTING COMMENT

Rose isn't used to having frequent nightmares, so this will be quite jarring for her. Loss of self will probably be a huge thing - succumbing to malevolence or watching other people she knows and cares about succumb to it being the center of it all. Those awful beast-like creatures popping up in people's dreams will just look like hellions from Rose's world, most of them dragon-like in nature. A very close friend/guardian who passed away will most likely pop up in these dreams, too, which is something she'll likely confront Sorey and Mikleo about whenever... they're back... from dream hell.

Anyway, Rose will probably be pretty bummed while these dreams are happening every night, so her usual, cheerful attitude will be a lot weaker. That being said, anyone relatively close to her through CR (or just someone just good at reading people in general) can definitely see through a fake smile and talk to her about their dreams or hers or both! Bring on the heart to hearts?

Since Sorey and Mikleo are going to handle the Sea Dragon (chances are, I'm positive Rose insisted on going with them but was told to keep an eye on everyone at the base, and chances are she got pissed about it, too) Rose will probably be laying low in terms of actual missions this month, unless she ends up being dragged into one. I'm a point where I do want to start plotting some actual relevant things but I'm stuck on how, when, where, what, etc so anyone is welcome to toss ideas at me or whatever else!

Roxy's used to nightmares and sleeping problems, maybe she can keep Rose company? Also, "loss of self" is a huge thing for her as well, being a void player and whatnot. That could be a fun thing to explore!

Nagito Komaeda

There's a number of things Nagito will be up to, some of these are more long term things though.

-He will have nightmates, a lot of them are already things that upset him so he'll be extra upset by them. Because of this he'll be more unstable than usual. He'll be at his worst the beginning of the dreams fearing everyone he knows is vanishing one by one.

-Nagito has a map of the world and will probably try and suggest the marked areas get explored.

-Set up more in depth care for Horrorterror egg which he's named Fukurokuju.

-Long term, he will be trying to find people either with the medical technology or magical ability to either cure or stop the progression of dementia. This has become a priority for him at the moment.

-He won't be going to the Halloween party unless someone specifically asks him to go. He will go watch horror movies though.

-And as just a general note, he's extremely lucky and tends to cause extreme bad luck to everyone around him, so if you ever need those sorts of variables he's here for you.

- I'll have Alisha have a dream of someone important to her that... wasn't exactly who they seemed. As a result, I'm going to be giving her a puzzle. I haven't decided on the stakes yet, but characters are free to help her if they want?!

- She'll be getting involved in the main mission and helping with the islands!! Mostly, she'll be helping organize and get things together, so characters are welcome in joining her in that if they'd like to.

- SHE MIGHT NEED TO BE DRAGGED TO THE HALLOWEEN PARTY but any character is free to do so.... Please help Alisha loosen up and have more fun.

Being a new arrival, Fi's October plans mainly amount to "getting used to this place", but there are some things that she'll specifically be getting up to.

*Re: nightmares, she doesn't usually sleep, so if someone would prefer a waking up from their nightmares, I can offer Fi to do this at any time! In her curiosity and wandering she's liable to look for the source of a disturbance if she senses one, so she'll be available. She'll also be able to give advice on how to combat them, be it scientific facts on how to promote sound sleep or offering slightly more supportive words (that will still be too awkward. #youtried)

*Generally, if someone asks for her help on a project or mission, if she isn't otherwise occupied she'll agree and do her best on it. Regardless of the subject matter, she functions better with something to do, and she's a reliable teammate to work with.

*The drone that dutifully follows her at times to act as her arms is going to need a name - friends deserve names. Sometime this month I've been considering having her ask the base what they suggest for naming it.

*Halloween will confuse her, but someone should talk her into having spooky time regardless for the fun of it.

I'm open to anything and everything right now, and if you want to be part of these ideas or have something else to suggest, just say the word and I'll be there!

So Percy is new and he’s going to be in for a fun month probably…!

-He will absolutely be affected by nightmares and fears because those sure do hit on a few of the things he’s most afraid of. Canonically he gets stuck dreaming about a bunch of terrible shit anyway, so why not add this to it?

-His girlfriend is in charge of creating the base and the island so he’ll be checking out where he can help, apologize to people she bullies into helping, happy to jump in with anything people need.

-Under the “advice” from Peter he might venture out to the Aurora for supplies that could help the towers on the island or see if there's another place they can check for materials.

-In terms of Halloween…please just give him candy. In all seriousness he’ll want to brighten up the base with decorations and the like and do some light-hearted fun Halloween stuff after all of the shit with the dragon and nightmares because THEY SURE COULD USE IT. IDK maybe a dumb funhouse set up in the base or something, a movie night? Let him make the base non-serious for a little bit.

-Long-term I’d also like him to get involved with exploring more biomes and types of fish and communicating with the sea life in terms of helping protect the underwater base if needed, etc. He wants to get a better idea of what’s out in the ocean.

-The long and short of it is that if somebody asks him to help on a mission he’ll say yes. He’s that kind of person. Even if he doesn’t exactly want to he’ll help anyone who asks.

dave strider will be focusing on transplanting a lot of farm stuff to the aboveground farmlands and actually following designs so it'll be organized...since he's nominally That Farm Guy. that's re: actually productive shit, though. on the other side of things, he's definitely doing the halloween party stuff! THAT SAID, would everyone prefer a halloween party log be posted the day of halloween or a week beforehand, or some other time? I'll write it up whenever we think would be best! Also he's going to the festivities, all of them, including the candy exchange.

annabeth chase is going to be giving people more work to do re: the island, if anyone needs tasks...she'll mostly be working on that still! however, she also will actually go to the halloween shenanigans mostly because everyone else is and will probably join in on some of the games and stuff. idk what she's dressing up as. IDK WHAT ANYONE IS DRESSING UP AS.

rapunzel will help anyone with anything LET HER LOVE YOU and also idk maybe she will help with kitchen stuff. she wants to make some more cutlery and pans and pots and shit

magnus chase will be doing whatever annabeth tells him re: island. he'll also be trying types of beans to make falafel while still on the look out for chickpeas. will it be just as good? I have no idea I've never had falafel leave me alone. the best costume I can think of is. a viking. because it's accurate and stupid. he'll be doing nightmares but also will not talk about them but he may quietly mutter about wolf spider men bc that's some bs right there, the nightmares sure hate the chases.

ALSO, the second book in magnus' series comes out oct 4th which has nothing to do with anything but I'm Excite. and will eventually canon update him idk if there's a two month wait when it comes to canon updates but won't be in a hurry to it anyway so Who Cares I'm just hoping for more fanart to icon let me live.

Okay! This is generally how I see Jade's October going:

- After her first nightmare, Jade is going to avoid sleeping as much as possible. She's not going to tell anybody that the nightmares are bothering her because there's no way she would burden her friends or make them worry about her. She's fine. Really. Those bags under her eyes are totally normal!!

- This also means she's going to throw herself full throttle into anything that needs doing. She'll probably either be around the labs trying to tinker and see if she can optimize anything, or she'll probably try and help set up the new farms on the island. She misses gardening. Feel free to recruit her for anything; she'll be happy to lend a helping hand! (She also has very convenient space powers.)

- Jade's also going to be VERY EXCITED about Halloween, especially once she can get some proper sleep. This is a girl who has only had the opportunity to witness holidays from a computer screen. She's never been trick or treating. She's probably never even dressed up. She has sixteen years worth of Halloweens to make up for. I don't know what she's dressing as yet but there's a good chance it will be an unidentifiable mess.

What to do with Mikan Tsumiki...

Helplessness, Isolation, Loss of self? WELL SHOOT SHE FALLS RIGHT UNDER ALL THREE OF THOSE THINGS. Mikan's probably going to suffer from all three, while also turning into a dragon-thing because why not.

But once that's all said and done, she might join in on the halloween shenanigans because holidays are fun and harmless right???

RODERIC

He'll be focusing on the cats and his items! He took several of them in against his will because Daisy took it on upon herself and they now reside in his room. He can be found making several cat bed and toys and slowly evolving into a crazy cat person. He'll also try to get the shield generator running this month and in advance he apologises for any explosions that may occur.

SO ONE OF THE BIGGEST THINGS THAT WILL HAPPEN TO RODERIC THIS MONTH IS THAT HE'LL BE FREAKING OUT FROM THE NIGHTMARES. He'll be having nightmares of the Helplessness variety that mostly consists of him remembering his time back in the Grove while he hears the screams of his loved ones (Ackerly and Lia and some of the others here on the base) from behind a door he can't reach or open. Fun times. Because of this hitting all his buttons in the worst way possible plus the stress he caused himself in his attempts to build all the things ever, he'll go back to not sleeping anymore and drinking all the coffee ever to keep himself awake. Feel free to notice Roderic smelling like coffee beans and looking like a mess. (More than usual. At least for a little while it looked great for him.)

At least he'll try to participate in the party?? He'll help with decorations and try cooking pumpkin cookies that are edible-ish and German sweets Lia taught him in the past. He's lame in terms of costumes so he'll just wear a pumpkin decoration on his head and be more focused on dressing up Daisy in something cool or similar to it. More reasons to work late into the night amirite??

ADA/EVE

So Eve… is going to… end up being so terrified of the nightmares that she ends up fleeing into the dreamscape and this be unable to wake up. This will be due to her running across Ada's nightmare of seeing her (Eve's) original body during the final stages of Kayaak's Disease and thinking this is how Ada really sees her. She gets upset and her own nightmares are the last straw. Thinking everything is now real because fear and stress need no logic, she'll end up fleeing and, thus, be unresponsive to Ada's rousing.

CUE ADA FREAKING OUT AND DOING EVERYTHING THAT'S POSSIBLE TO SAVE HER SISTER. SHE… MAY OR MAY NOT BLOW HER IDENTITY/THEIR SECRET.

At least they'll be trying to have fun For Halloween after that clears up? Ada will help Eve in making the candies and apples for the party while Eve recovers. For the Halloween costumes, Ada/Eve are planning to go as matching bed sheet ghosts! This is partly due to Ada agreeing with Eve's costume suggestion to make her happy and to make it easier for them to claim they're in the same room. The other just went out is all! Ohhh you must have missed her she was just here and so on.

Roxy is NOT going to want to give up her seven thousand catnaps a day, nosiree. Someone is going to have to help try keeping her awake, else she's just going to go Void diving in a bad way. In probably the worst way. Roxy's nightmares will usually start off with her being isolated and alone, usually in her Mom's mansion back on the colony, except it's on fire and everyone's dead, lmfao. But that's not all! After feelings of isolation drive her crazy, she gets to lose her sense of self to her very own aspect: the Void. Leave it to a Lalonde, man. As far as other stuff, cats will still be handed out throughout October, she'll be dressing up as a wizard off and on all throughout the month and as Catwoman for the party, and her nerves are going to be shot a little moreso than usual this month, so. Feel free to notice her lack of impulse control is a little more, uh, lacking this month due to recent and upcoming events!

Undyne is spending the first week of the month here guarding her and Komaeda's egg, and when it hatches into a lovely baby Reaper on the 5th, she is going to love and care for it and make sure it grows up to be big and STRONG. Uh. More deets on that as they become available. As far as the rest of the month goes, her dreams/nightmares/whatevs will be full of Helplessness-- for the first time ever, she's going to feel the helplessness she felt in the Genocide route when spoilers spoilers spoilers. She'll likely be joining Kanaya's No Sleeping Party, because who doesn't like coffee anyway? Only nerds don't like coffee!

Yuri will definitely be suffering nightmares! ofc he's gonna try to shrug them off and focus on others around the base but will he end up pushing himself? yeah probably. a few of those things are kinda a thing for him even if he doesn't seem like it haha oops. he's gonna wanna fight things since it's a good escape so he might .... accidentally challenge everyone to a fight.

Horō, world's most inefficient android + her pupper

As Horō has mentioned before, she has terrible plot-related amnesia. She spent most of September trying to find out the truth about her identity, and in October, the truth will finally come round. This will be a combination of the nightmares (all the bad body horror ones and a feeling of loss of self) and her emerging older sibling feelings towards some of the teenagers on the base. Funnily enough, the nightmares stripping her sense of identity will make it come back much stronger when she wakes. If you want to be part of these horrible revelations, hmu!

Once she's keyed into her past, she will become much more proactive and much more determined. It won't make her mean or forceful, but she will be ready to get up there and tussle and make a difference and save the world...because she's failed so many times before. Probably someone should stop her from running off on her own to do something stupid on the island.

In more positive news: Horō will be super duper excited about URSULA's new body and get all up in that, because every living thing should feel like it belongs. AND she will literally latch onto any opportunity to learn about a new celebration custom, so Halloween will be very exciting for her. That said...it seems that other goals should take priority this month...and so she will discourage partying unless things get much better.

She will drink the shitty 60% alcohol because she's afraid of no food no matter how potentially deadly, and she wants to see what will happen.

Tenkichi the spirit fox can dream and thus will also be having nightmares. The scary yapping dogs will be chasing her. She will be very upset :(

On a happier note, Tenkichi loves wearing little outfits and will totally allow herself to be dressed up for Halloween if someone convinces Horō to do it. Don't you want to put a holy animal in a dog Halloween costume?

Frisk

Frisk will mostly be spending time trying to adjust to life in the base/ocean, which is difficult given the nightmares.

Re: the nightmares, Frisk will still be sleeping, since they're a kid and need their sleep. They won't be very happy about it, though, as helpless, isolation, and loss of self can all play into fears they've had. They'll also definitely get chased by dogs, though that's not too scary.

Re: Halloween, Frisk will be dressing up as a skeleton! They'll need someone to help make this costume. Also, there had better be a trick-or-treating party log. We can't have Halloween without trick-or-treating! They'll also want to help with decorations!

In general, Frisk is up to help wherever! They like helping.

Now that Undyne is maturing and is realizing her role as mentor to a bunch of punks, she'll want to make sure Frisk-- as well as everyone else-- is on their best behavior during trick-or-treating. She'd be more than happy to chaperone and make sure no one messes with her friend.

Kon Is going to be spending the first two weeks of the month horribly sleep deprived because obviously the solution to nightmares is just not sleeping, right? Right. His nightmares are primarily going to be focused on the mangled body of his recently deceased girlfriend asking why he let her die, so he'll be pretty moody and dodgy with anyone who catches him after sleeping. I would love to have anyone bump into him in the dreamscape while dealing with this or find him trying not to sleep in random places at random times. I'm thinking of getting a post up on the network or in an open post for this.

Aside from nightmares, he'll also be doing a lot of exploring with various characters. If anyone wants Kon as a bodyguard on an island or wants him to take them somewhere, he'll be offering that as well. For characters without cr, feel free to assume they heard he was offering it from someone else.

But most importantly ~Kon has a date~ to the Halloween party. He is going as Batman. Somewhere in another universe, Robin is sighing in exasperation and he doesn't know why. So ridiculous Halloween shenanigans are a go on all fronts.

I feel like I had more plotting ideas and they've escaped me so. THIS IS WHAT I GOT.

Ed's October is going to go so swell. He's definitely going to be effected by the nightmares, whether he likes it or not. He'll be dreaming a lot about how so many things went wrong with his mother back home. FMA spoilers in that link if you don't know much about the show/manga. He is also going to be very afraid for his brother, especially in a water setting and being all metal. His own arm and leg are completely metal, though a little more durable to erosion, etc. Either way, he's going to look like a bus has hit him and might need some friendly company as he's wandering around. Especially with that weird morphing monster, he's going to be messed up about it, and be very worried someone is trying to do alchemy they really shouldn't be doing here!

Ed is going to also try and reach out to folks so he can learn more about the tech and science here! He doesn't like being behind and to him learning the sciency stuff is one step closer to helping everyone and finding a way home. He's just excited to learn, too, so people please teach this tiny, angry alchemist!

I'll probably be dropping a post, too, about any mechanics on board, because he'll need to find someone to help with his automail. I'd love for things to go Wrong and have it break at some point, because why not!

He'll be going to the Halloween party, too, probably in some ridiculous costume, but he'll be using alchemy to help decorate the walls and make statues and things of spoopy skulls/skeletons/anything tacky you name it!
