Aw, good job making some friends, Komaeda!

> We'll note that the markings on the map are deep down, and unfortunately some of them cannot be reached at the moment with their vehicles. If the crew finds more suitable material to upgrade the submarine and other vehicles with, though, the locations that are further down will become accessible!

> Moving onto a location that they can get to. Mountain Island. The marker isn't really the island itself, but the water next to. They will have to travel towards the side of the island opposite of where Naoko's group has made camp. Once there, they will have to dive down.

> Strangely, after a while they will notice a lot of holes in the underwater mountain that Mountain Island forms the head of. At first glance, the holes might not seem too unusual, if it wasn't for the fact that all of them are the exact same size and depth. If any of the crew members touch the holes, they will find that the rock is completely smooth in each of them.

> Whether or not these are manmade or natural will be solved if they go a bit further down underwater. A strange machine that looks like an odd drill will be found on the side of a rocky cliffside. It's extremely damaged will most likely not be fixable, but its parts can be salvageable if anyone would like to pick it apart.

> There is also a datapad, left in the driver seat of the drill machine. It fell underneath the seat, so whoever abandoned the drill most likely did not see that it fell down there. There are a few things on the datapad. One is a list of at least a hundred planets that seem to have been contestants for possible terraforming. Next to almost all of them, though, is [ KHARAA PRESENCE FOUND ]. Only a dozen do not have this marking, including Iniidae. There are also diary entries, except they have all been both encoded and locked. The final item on the datapad is a voice recording.

Person 1: Are you sure this is the right place? We haven't found shit.
Person 2: They keep saying it should be here somewhere. There's something about this island that's—oh nuts.
Person 3: [ untranslatable shrieking ]
Person 2: What do you think it's saying?
Person 1: Probably that it wants to fuck us up! I keep telling you we need to kill it. It's going to kill us if we don't. The boss is going to be so pissed when she finds out about this.
Person 2: She won't. Come on, we have to keep digging. If we don't find anything then Gareth wins the bet and I'll be flat broke.
Person 3: [ more shrieking ]
Person 1: Oh my god, shut up, you goddamn alien! Tam, I'm going to kill it.

> If they continue looking after this find, there will be one more very noticeable thing. A hole, much like all the others, will be found with one exception: its size. It's about five times bigger than all of the other ones, but if someone were to touch it they'll see that it's as smooth as all the others, indicating that it was made by a drill as well. However, at the center of this hole will be the remnants of crystals. They are very tiny and oddly shaped, as if they were bigger before but were forcefully removed by something.

> If they continue to go down after that, they will find that there are no more holes after the large one. That's all for this portion of the map.
