Hello everyone. Sadly, we come with an announcement that may not be too surprising for a lot of you. After a discussion between the mod team, we feel like it would be best to close down Subnautica. Our player count has reached a point low enough that it, understandably, has affected the activity levels of the game to the point where we are not sure how to recover from it.

We want to thank each and everyone one of you who has continued to stick with us for this long. We'll also like to thank everyone who got swept away by the tide (we will stop making ocean jokes when we're dead), because you, too, have helped shaped this little game throughout the little over a year we've been running! Being in this game, as both players and mods, has been an amazing experience for us, and we hope that it has been one for you all too.

We have a few options here to go over.

1) Close the game as is without tying up the loose ends icly.
2) Attempt to finish off some plot points and then close the game.

We are, admittedly, leaning more towards the first option simply because there are still a lot of things left open and it would probably take some time to bring the game's plot to any sort of real conclusion. Considering the drop rate over the past few months, we're not sure if we'll be able to supply you with something completely satisfactory before we lose too many people. However, like we stated in our suggestions post (thank you everyone who commented to it), we will do whatever the majority wants. Please let us know if you have any strong feelings that are leaning one way or another.

Currently, we are toying with the idea of potentially rebooting the game in the future. This would not happen for a while though, as it's not something we'd want to rush into if we decide to continue with the idea. We will let everyone know in the future how we feel about this plan.

Once again, we want to make sure you're all aware of what a bright spot you have been in our lives. Thank you for being an amazing playerbase. We wish you the absolute best, and remember that you were the best crew URSULA has ever had. ❤️

Hello everyone! Like stated in the June OOC post, we're looking for suggestions from you, the playerbase, as to what types of things you want to see here. We've been adjusting to a few changes in the mod team as well as the fact that some of us became unexpectedly busy at the same time as these changes. This has, admittedly, affected our response times to certain items, but things have settled. We want to make sure Subnautica lasts as long as you all want it, and we'll do our very best to give you an enjoyable experience.

Here are some things to consider!

- As you may be aware, the plot of the game is loosely based off of the plot in the actual video game Subnautica. While there are definitely plot elements we take from it, we do take many liberties! The majority of the biomes are from the video game, and since there's a limited amount/biomes are still being introduced in the series, we try not to make too many biome discoveries at once.

- We welcome player plots at all times! While a lot of the player plots come in the form of mission requests, you are free to approach us if you have an idea that might be bigger than just that. Even if it's just something minor and silly, like a rave at the Monolith, please go ahead.

- What types of events do you enjoy? We noticed that the volcano one had a lot of participation, for example, so events where characters have to make decisions that'll have an immediate effect on their lives?

- This isn't just for plot suggestions. If there are any other types of suggestions or tips you want to give us, we'll listen. We want to better ourselves as a mod team and hear whatever you all thinks will help this game float on.

Please reply to this post with whatever ideas comes to mind. If you can't think of anything immediately, don't worry, as we will be tracking the post and will catch any late comments! We may not respond to everything right away, as we'll be going over all of the replies first. If you would rather talk in a more private space, you can always pm this account instead of commenting here.

Thank you for your time! 🐳

Hello! I'm Glazed and I'm bringing in someone else that refuses to remove his sunglasses, so there'll be more of those. This is Kazuhira Miller from Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. He likes sunsets, long walks on the beach, money, a little bit of punching and strangling, and holding birthday parties.

He's good at building bases, at survivalist training and drill instruction, at worker motivation, finance, and being generally a pleasant warmonger to be around. This being before the depressing hopeless mess that is MGSV.

He'll be showing up near the volcano so he might need some help so he doesn't immediately become lava monster. I'm either available by PM or on discord at glazedmacguffin#2809.

Hey guys! I'm ________, but you may refer to me as Nameless! I bring you the self-proclaimed Normal High School Student Kamijou Touma from To Aru Majutsu no IndexTouma has made a successful career out of saving others and making sure people are living their lives correctly. This guy will dig his way to the freezing depths of Hell with a rusty spoon in order to save you. That's right! You! It doesn't even matter if you were trying to disintegrate him a few seconds ago. He's just that swell of a guy.

Mr. Normal High School Student has a special right hand that can do unspeakable horrors to supernatural persons that require otherworldlyness to live and objects of the magical nature so I've got a permissions post about that stuff.

If you want to contact me just PM this account. Now lets have lots of fun together!

Hello everyone! Here's a quick update regarding the poll we ran a few days ago! It seems like most people would prefer to keep the two month wait time for new canons, thus we are going to continue to keep that rule as is. It is also going to stay uniform for all media types as well. Basically, we're not changing anything.

Thank you to everyone who shared their opinions with us! ♥︎ We appreciate your input. Have a good weekend!

G'day guys!! I'm Cassie, and the mods made the mistake of letting me in (I'm kidding please don't kick me out), so I'm bringing Mordred from the Fate/ series, specifically Fate/Apocrypha. She's literally That One Traitorous Jerk from Arthurian legend, with some differences you can read about in her app here if you're so inclined. All you really need to know is that she's a huge moron, and kind of a jerk, but has her decent moments from time to time. I know, I'm shocked too.

You can add or hit me up over at [plurk.com profile] palkia if you need anything, or just shoot me a PM. I haven't been in a game for a while so I look forward to playing with you all! edit: & now with bonus IC intro.

Hello crew members! We're here with a question for you all regarding applications.

As you are all aware, when it comes to canons that have just been released, we have a wait time of two months before they are applicable to be apped from. A player has recently approached us, asking if we were willing to possibly lower this wait time. We decided since this affects everyone, we'd like to ask the game at large what they feel would be the best course of action.

Option 1: You think two months is a good amount of time and we shouldn't change it.
Option 2: Lowering it to one month instead of two.
Option 3: Any other suggestions, like should video games, TV shows, movies, etc have different wait times? Or any kind of idea you may have! Toss them at us.

Note: We do not want to remove it altogether, as not everyone can start a new series (especially video games, in THIS economy) when they're newly released, so we'd like to give as many people as possible a chance to app.

Thank you for your time! We hope you're all having a fintastic day.

Hello hello!

I'm really sad to be posting this, but I will be dropping Percy which means I will be dropping from the game entirely for now! I adore the game and I adore the CR I've had in this game, but after some thinking I've realized Percy should be set free back into the sea and etc.

All jokes aside, I'm so glad to have been here for as long as I have and I'll miss playing here. Thanks for being awesome, Sub!

Hey everyone! I'm Gray, and I'm bringing in Cat-Eyed Boy from the manga of the same name. He's a cynical little jerk who is really a softy who longs for friendship deep down. He's also used to horror and the like, so he'll be fine with everything going on here. Plus he'll be arriving in a pile of cats, which is always good for his attitude.

My plurk is graygriffin, feel free to add me after commenting on here!
