Two incredibly stupid Danganronpa mechanics coming to a seabase near you

1. Monomono Yachine

Once the shower room is accessible again, characters will be able to find that one of the stalls is now partially occupied by an obviously-fake palm tree. Shaking, kicking, or otherwise trying to move it will cause the tree to drop a gatcha capsule, unlocking a random item from Danganronpa 2. Sometimes two items at once, if you're lucky!

It's an incredibly stupid game mechanic and I'm delighted that we're all stuck with it. This can, of course, be completely ignored. These items probably don't have the weird world-altering powers some of them have listed in their descriptions. Probably.

2. Communicator Modifications

Dirk and Hajime were looking over Hajime's student e-Handbook (link has spoilers for Danganronpa 2 up to Chapter 5) and some of the features within. This has resulted in them (mainly Dirk, probably) coding up "Report Card Mode" which can be toggled on the communicators, similar to Meme Mode. This will:

1) Allow projecting of a map of currently-discovered locations, similar to the map that's in the lab on base! We now have our own minimaps, how useful.

2) Enable a little tomagatchi-esque pet game with a little egg you walk around to hatch into your favorite animal, give gifts to to make it happy, and eventually, once it's grown happy enough, watch it leave to go on its merry way and leave you another egg in return. It's an endless cycle of joyous egg-hatching. Team Instinct would be proud.

3) The namesake of Report Card Mode, actual report cards that are automatically filled out. Like this. Without the height/weight/chest measurements/blood type, because Dirk has good judgement and is also sensitive to trolls' and their weird blood caste thing. The communicators will be designed to pick up the names of users when exchanged and then deliver the appropriate information, automatically filling in the basic information after an interaction!

For characters who aren't children, there is also the option for characters who spend a lot of time together and become close friends to find their report card updated with a little pixelated picture of the other character's panties. Because URSULA knows what kind of underwear you wear. Hajime did not ask for this mode.

4) Some cute music is an optional toggle that can be turned on and will play different nice tunes at different times of the day.

Dirk and Hajime will have the communicator mods finished by August 17th!
