POST-HIATUS PLOTTING???

Hey everyone! I'm Melly and I'm back from a hiatus due to house renovations and a sudden case of a bad flu so sorry for my absence for most of the month. Basically this whole post is me getting back into the swing of things after being away for so long. I've read up on everything I could get my hands on the last day or so and here are the things I hope I could/can do with you guys if you're all up to it.

I'll, of course, be still tagging the other comments/posts here in the comm like the monthly planning post. Simply wanted to throw this up here to very quickly establish some things that happened while I was away and what I can jump into ASAP. So!

ASH WHAT IS YOUR DAMAGE

RODERIC

An original character, Roderic Pyre (forsage). He's a grumpy-but-well-meaning metahuman who has the ability to hear the past/present/future of people around him. More info (and a permissions post) on his power can be found here! Willingly joined the crew for personal reasons during their voluntary recruiting.

Roderic, for the last two weeks, has been in a coma. Let's just say this would have been due to a combination of stress/lack of sleep/working exhaustively and it simply accumulates in him just him going 'okay good night' and. He just. Didn't wake up one day after he rested his head on the counter and muttered he'll take a quick nap.

After realising he's still, you know, alive and just in a coma, he would have just been resting for the duration of the two weeks. So he wouldn't have been that much of a bother or worry to keep track of during the storm season but he may have contracted the illness which will be a fun thing to wake up to for him wheeeeee. He'll be at least well-rested for a bit and try to get back to work or care for others to the best of his abilities.

During the storm season (August 5th - 9th), one item of his will arrive. It'll happen to actually be an animal - His beloved pet dog, Daisy! Daisy will be found with a collar around her neck after someone convinces the slightly panicked dog to come closer to them, the tags addressing the owners being Roderic and Ackerly Pyre. She's the sweetest thing ever okay. She's friendly and sweet and pretty much since Roderic poured all his Caring Potential™ into her so she knows to fetch some things (pencils, papers, cigarette packs)

Who wants to have the unfortunate pleasure of finding Roderic just slumped over the table one day, unresponsive to the world? The person gets the bonus of scolding him for his bad health choices upon him waking up.

Anyone want to look after his dog, Daisy, while he's asleep? Daisy is a pretty laid-back, well-behaved dog so she son't be too much of a problem and the moment Roderic wakes up he'll be so happy he might cry. Okay no. He'll actually cry. Blubbering and all and thank the person for taking care of Daisy and just be grateful to see her and I hope you enjoy tears, my friend.

Getting back to backtagging any threads of his before I had to take my hiatus is a given! Let me know if there's anything or any scenario that you want us to continue.

ADA/EVE

Another original character, Adaline/Eveline Asileinarke (intranslatability). Ada/Eve are two individuals sharing the same cyborg body after Eve was supposed to die but her older sister, Ada, uploaded her subconsciousness into her systems to save her. Naturally this makes Ada very protective of Eve and is quite curt and short with people but Eve is a sweetheart and does her best to be polite. So far not a lot of people know about the whole 'sharing one body' situation yet. They found themselves here.

Ada/Eve, on the other hand, have been on autopilot after they were brought to the base. During autopiloting, Ada had opted to take control of their shared body most of the time to let Eve relax. As a result of that she focused more on reviewing the data and information that is available to the crew to catch up on what's going on before she had arrived. Since that's months worth of discovered items/locations/animals/recording, that should give them a reason to be not seen a lot.

During the storm season (August 5th - 9th), Ada will be keeping herself away from any dangerous spots and been trying to help others out during the whole mess of it. An item of hers will also arrive - An emergency repair/grounding kit for her armour which is basically a little computer aid for the suit so it can be semi-functional on the field. Ada will not be a chooser in this situation and actively attempt to retrieve it.

And finally! Due to them being cyborgs, Ada/Eve will not fall ill during the sickness epidemic but Ada won't be willing to help people who are sick out too. She... has issues with seeing illness. Eve will be more sympathetic and try to speak with them during their moments of wanting to talk to people??? It's the though that counts.

Sometimes, when Ada feels guilty enough, would have let Eve send out little telepathic greetings or 'hellos' so she can talk to people and pass the time if Ada is too absorbed in a task. Eve will let the person she's talking to know her name, Eveline, but become shy or hesitant to explain herself if asked where she is or why they don't see her a lot in the base.

Ada would be very quick to try and repair her armour so its main systems - health monitoring, communications, stealth, inventory checking - are all back online. Anyone willing to give her a hand will probably result in Ada being much nicer/friendlier to the person (as much as Ada can be) when she meets them again.

Yes please I would love to have something with you for sure so yesssss Hajime can be the one to look after his dog. Daisy would be attracted to her personality since its so different from Roderic and definitely stick to her side until Roderic wakes up.

Roderic would be so grateful to her for keeping Daisy safe you have no idea. ; ; His dog is here aaaaaah.

With Karkat would he be interested in being someone who hears Eve's voices via telepathy but realise he never met her in person before? :|a

yay!! yeah she will probably have made daisy a lot of dog clothes so like. tada??? very cute outfits, daisy will be very stylish.

and yeah for karkat. when she gets shy about it he'd just be like ????????? and keep pressing the issue he is so nosy i'm sorry.

Oh my gosh that's the cutest thing to think of ever? I'll have Roderic's and Ada/Eve's post up by tomorrow (DW let me post gosh) so I can't wait for them to meet each other. Daisy is going to love her forever and ever now okay she'll do her best to not dirty her new clothes aaa.

AND DON'T BE SORRY I'LL ACTUALLY LOVE IT IF HE WAS NOSY. Eve would be pretty shy in saying anything about herself so him persisting would be good since she'll eventually cave in - 'I'm always with my sister' - and she'll start asking him all sorts of questions in return. / o /

ADA DEFINITELY WANTS TO BOND OVER HER FAVE FIGHT CLUB PAL OVER TECH REPAIR.

She would be pleasantly surprise to learn he's into that and she'll...... try to be nice to him when he's sick.... Because her curiosity in wanting to get to know him better will hopefully overcome her irrational dislike of illness.

Eve will also definitely try to talk to him out of sight now and then, I bet. Especially when he's ill because ALL THE SYMPATHY FOR EVERYONE SICK. ALL THE SYMPATHY EVER.

Sorry Ada.... YES HE'D LOVE TO TALK TO EVE TOO I assume he would know at least who she is after the er adventures in the dreamscape. team fight! But yes definitely on both.

He definitely would know about the two of them! I feel like after the fight and realising he was right, Ada would be willing to admit what the heck that was all about. She'll ask him to not tell anyone for now since she and Eve want to figure out how to deal with their new environment at the moment.

Eve would be so happy to have someone to talk to easily eeeee. The post will be up by tomorrow so they all can meet up and catch up again. Really excited for this!

You know I'm always up for stuff! even though I totally missed replying to the Plurk message whoops I haven't had Don do anything exciting yet so Roderic or Ada/Eve are welcome to come along for something!

HEY YOU HEY It's fine I get not being able to see the messages in time that happens to me a lot too /o\ The offer still stands that we can, at least, finish Roderic and Don's thread but! Of course I would love something for Don with my characters. Don can have the honour of meeting Daisy proper now that Roderic is going to be awake and/or he can chat with Eve to know more about her world's technology because tech neeeeeerds.
